Dallas-based management consultancy evolv Consulting has added seasoned executives Matt Bieri and Paul Shultz as directors on its advisory board.

Founded in 2018 by Eric Neef, CEO and Mike Bogda, COO – two former senior leaders at Slalom – evolv is a full service management and technology consulting firm, with a focus on local consulting and customer-centricity.

“Our business model is simple: the right people with the right experience at the right price," said Neef. "We've seen explosive growth over the past two years and have plans to expand into other major markets.”

Neef has more than 20 years of management and technology consulting experience, previously spending eight years at Slalom, where he was latterly a senior director. Before that, he spent seven years at Salesforce consultancy Statera, where he was a sales director and business development executive. Earlier in his career, he was a senior consultant at Capgemini.

Bogda has more than 25 years of experience in consulting. Prior to cofounding evolv, he spent seven years at Slalom, where he was latterly a managing director. Before that, he was president of ABA Consulting, a marketing strategy and communication firm. He also held consultant roles at Accenture and Deloitte.

The two cofounders have grown their firm to a team of 15 people in the last two years, according to LinkedIn.

New advisory board directors Matt Bieri and Paul Schultz will join director Andrew Typrin, who currently serves as the head of Digital Product at JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Bieri brings nearly four decades of IT leadership and technology sector experience. He has spent the last ten years as chief information officer at Tyler Technologies, a provider of information management solutions and services to local governments. Before that, he was CIO of newspaper company A.H. Belo, and VP of global delivery at Electronic Data Systems. Earlier in his career, he was a manager/director at CSX Technology and Raytheon.

Shultz, who retired from a long and successful career in consulting in 2018, previously spent nine years at Slalom, where he was South Regional GM and worked with Neef and Bogda. Prior to that, he was a managing director at consulting firm Protiviti and a managing VP for the Southwest market at Hitachi Consulting. Earlier in his career, Shultz was a partner and director of US consumer products consulting at Arthur Andersen.

“We're excited to welcome these two distinguished gentlemen to our board,” Bogda said. “The opportunity to surround ourselves with such an esteemed group of executives is an honor as we work to evolve the industry.”
