EY acquires digital consultancy Zilker Technology
EY US has acquired Zilker, an Austin-based digital consulting firm specializing in customer experience.
Founded in 2014, Zilker focuses on unlocking client data insights and building digital platforms to take advantage of those insights. Zilker partners with Adobe, IBM, and Dell Boomi to create digital solutions that can be integrated with on-premises and cloud-based back-end systems.
The firm helps clients across industries build digital customer experiences, create ecommerce solutions on the Magento (Adobe) platform, harness the power of emerging technologies, migrate to the cloud, and enhance cybersecurity.
Zilker has 360 employees, with US offices in Austin, San Francisco, and Cleveland, as well as international locations in Belgrade, Serbia and Chennai, India.
EY’s acquisition of the firm will help it meet increased demand for e-commerce, digital application, enterprise integration, and cloud services consulting. The Covid-19 pandemic has especially pressured companies to either create or optimize their online selling platforms as customers and clients avoid in-person visits.
"Businesses have rapidly switched to an online paradigm where customers expect digitally connected solutions that strengthen their e-commerce experience," said Kelly Grier, EY US chair and managing partner and Americas managing partner. "We're incredibly excited to welcome Zilker to the EY family as they squarely align with our growth strategy and complement our digital and technology transformation capabilities."
EY will roll the Zilker team into its digital and emerging technologies group.
“Our mission has always been to be a catalyst for growth, aiming to drive material business impact for our clients," said Rob Thomas, managing partner and CEO of Zilker Technology. "Joining the EY organization further enables us to live out this goal and create long-term value for leading organizations across the world."
EY US provides a full suite of audit, tax, and advisory services, and has approximately 45,000 employees and $15 billion in annual revenue. The global EY network has nearly 300,000 employees and $37.2 billion in annual revenue.
EY US earlier this year acquired Avalanche Consulting, an Austin-based economic development consulting firm.
