Huron acquires data management consulting firm Unico Solution
Huron, a global management consultancy, has acquired Unico Solution, an Austin-headquartered data management consultancy.
Founded in 2009, Unico specializes in data integration, quality, and governance; ERP and CRM services; and cloud integration. The firm has specific expertise in architecting, planning, and delivering Informatica’s data integration and management suite.
The company works with clients across healthcare and life sciences, financial services, retail, manufacturing, media, gaming, and government.
Unico has US locations in Austin, Oakland, New York, and Woodbridge, NJ. The firm also has international locations in the UK, Slovakia, and India. Unico has 35 employees listed on LinkedIn.
Huron’s acquisition of Unico will expand the firm’s data management and governance capabilities, as well as its Informatica capability.
“High quality data and strong ongoing governance are critical to building a solid foundation for a successful digital transformation,” said James Roth, CEO of Huron. “This acquisition expands Huron’s ability to help our clients integrate, optimize and use their data to make better business decisions and adapt and respond more quickly to changing markets.”
Managing partner Vikas Punna, as well as Unico’s more than 30 global team members, will join Huron’s business advisory operating segment. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in February, were not disclosed.
“We are excited to join an innovative and people-focused organization that shares our growth mindset,” said Punna. “Huron and Unico’s shared values and commitment to helping our clients transform their businesses will enable us to deliver more value at scale for our clients.”
Huron is based in Chicago and provides management consulting services to healthcare, life sciences, higher education, public sector, and commercial clients. The firm’s offerings span strategy, operations, technology, consumer and care transformation, and organizational change.
Huron has 3,750 employees across 25 offices in the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, India, and Singapore.
The consulting firm in October acquired Salesforce consultancy ForceIQ.
