Deloitte has appointed Amy Chronis as leader of the oil, gas, and chemicals (OG&C) practice in the US.

As US head of OG&C, Chronis will oversee the strategic direction of the practice and go-to-market strategies for business lines including audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory. She will be responsible for a team of over 3,000 professionals who work with many of the OG&C companies in the Fortune 500.

Chronis succeeds Duane Dickson, who retires in May after leading the practice for three years. Dickson spent the last 15 years at Deloitte, previously holding senior roles at Kearney and Mercer.

Chronis will also continue to lead Deloitte’s 2,400-person Houston office, a role she has held since 2018.

She has more than 30 years of professional experience, and has advised clients across OG&C, technology, and manufacturing. Chronis, a partner at Deloitte since 2002, has also served as lead relationship partner for numerous international OG&C firms.Deloitte appoints Amy Chronis as oil and gas sector lead in USBefore taking on increasingly senior leadership positions, Chronis worked as an auditor in Houston, focusing on M&A and forensic investigations. "With her proven experience and track record of working across the Deloitte global network, the sector is well positioned to bring the full expanse of the organization to our oil, gas, and chemicals clients.”

She is a former member of the national advisory council of the Women's Energy Network (WEN) and co-leads the Houston cohort of Deloitte's Board Ready Women and Women on Boards programs, which provide education and networking to senior women leaders and women board members in Houston.

“Our industry is at a crossroads and going through one of the most challenging business environments on record," said Chronis. "It's an honor to take on this role at such a pivotal time for our oil, gas, and chemicals clients engaging in the energy transition and emerging from the pandemic.
