WinWire, a Santa Clara, CA-based digital engineering consultancy specializing in Microsoft Azure, has attracted a strategic investment from Sverica Capital Management, a Boston-based private equity firm.

WinWire was founded in 2007 and delivers services and solutions across cloud platforms, data analytics, artificial intelligence, security, and other technology domains. The firm is a Microsoft Managed Partner and has Gold Partner accreditations in numerous areas, including cloud platforms and productivity, data analytics, and application development.

The Bay Area firm works with clients in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, retail, and professional services. WinWire has further US offices in Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Paramus, NJ, as well as two delivery centers in India. The company has more than 600 employees, according to LinkedIn.

Sverica’s investment in WinWire will allow the firm to continue its growth trajectory. Consulting services for digital transformation, supply chain, and restructuring have seen particularly robust demand as companies navigate the challenges of the pandemic.

“WinWire is excited to partner with Sverica as this strategic investment allows us to accelerate our growth, expand our global presence and focus on building domain competencies and solution accelerators in the areas of Healthcare, Retail, Hi-Tech and Manufacturing to deliver world-class customer experience,” said Ashu Goel, CEO of WinWire.

Ryan Harstad, a partner at Sverica, noted that his firm was actively looking to invest in an established leader in Microsoft Azure. The Boston-based private equity firm targets growth companies valued at less than $150 million in the technology and business services, healthcare, and advanced industrial sectors. Sverica has raised approximately $1.1 billion across five funds.

“Ashu has done a remarkable job building WinWire into one of the leading providers of Azure-centric services in the Microsoft ecosystem today,” said Frank Young, managing partner at Sverica. “We are thrilled to partner with him and look forward to working together to ensure WinWire accelerates its high growth trajectory in the years to come.”
