Tech Mahindra acquires cloud consultancy DigitalOnUs
Tech Mahindra, an India-based IT consulting firm, has acquired DigitalOnUS, a San Jose-based firm specializing in hybrid cloud and DevOps services.
Founded in 2015, DigitalOnUs supports clients with cloud native development, hybrid cloud automation, quality engineering, cloud security, and site reliability engineering (SRE) automation. The firm’s technology partners include SAP Cloud Application Services, Google Cloud, and Cloudbees.
DigitalOnUs has more than 380 people across offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, and India. The firm reported revenues of approximately $30.6 million in 2020.
Tech Mahindra’s $120-million, all-cash acquisition of DigitalOnUs will strengthen its nearshore capabilities in cloud native development, cloud infrastructure, and SRE, according to a release from the firm.
“The acquisition of DigitalOnUs marks an important milestone in Tech Mahindra’s growth journey, and will further enhance our capability in cloud native engineering, and better equip us to develop cutting-edge digital solutions for our customers,” said Vivek Agarwal, president at Tech Mahindra. “Scaling up nearshore delivery capability in Mexico and Canada will be critical to executing digital transformation programs.”
As part of the acquisition, Suri Chawla, founder and CEO of DigitalOnUS, will join Tech Mahindra’s North America leadership team. Prior to founding DigitalOnUs, Suri Chawla spent eight years at Indian IT consultancy Hexaware Technologies, where he was head of global alliances.
“The acquisition by Tech Mahindra represents an important step in DigitalOnUs’ growth journey as it provides our organization and its people with extensive global reach and customer access to scale and tap into many more significant opportunities,” Chawla said.
Tech Mahindra has more than 121,000 employees across 90 countries, with annual revenues of $5.2 billion.
The firm in 2019 acquired Born Group, a NYC-based digital and content production agency.
