Baker Tilly names Michael Patti as healthcare practice leader
Baker Tilly US has appointed Michael Patti as leader of its healthcare practice. He is based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters.
Patti, a principal who has been at Baker Tilly since 2003, will oversee a practice that delivers management and technology consulting to health plan, provider, and life sciences clients.
He has deep experience advising healthcare clients on value-based reimbursement models, process design and improvement, and data management and integration. Patti most recently led Baker Tilly’s healthcare consulting group focusing on transformational initiatives in health insurance firms. Before joining Baker Tilly, he was a senior consultant at BearingPoint and a consultant at Arthur Andersen.
Patti holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management computer systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
“Market forces, including the inevitable shift to value-based care and the power of biopharma and medtech startups, is disrupting the healthcare market,” Patti said. “We have the consulting and technology expertise to enable healthcare organizations tackle their toughest challenges and prepare for what’s next.”
Baker Tilly's healthcare practice offerings include internal audit, risk optimization, payment transformation, healthcare automation, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle operations.
The practice earlier this year launched a fair market value rate tool to help life sciences firms efficiently determine payment rates to healthcare professionals for speaking and consulting engagements, amid increasing regulatory scrutiny.
Baker Tilly, which has more than 3,700 professionals, also this month promoted 24 team members to partner level.
