Guidepost Solutions adds Jeffrey Cramer as senior managing director
Guidepost Solutions, a New York-headquartered investigations consulting firm, has welcomed Jeffrey Cramer as a senior managing director based in Chicago.
Cramer brings more than 20 years of experience in investigations and business intelligence, having held leadership roles in the consulting sector and the Department of Justice. He has deep expertise in corporate investigations, fraud detection, due diligence, forensic accounting, and regulatory issues, including matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, embezzlement, and cyber breaches.
Cramer joins Guidepost from Berkeley Research Group, where he spent the last five years as a managing director leading a team of investigators, forensic accountants, and security professionals. Before that, he spent over six years at investigations and risk consultancy Kroll, where he served as managing director and Chicago office head.
Between 2000 and 2009, Cramer was an assistant US attorney in the US Attorney’s Office for Northern Illinois. He served as senior litigation counsel on all criminal trials, investigating cases ranging from terrorism to public corruption, securities fraud, and export violations.Before that, Cramer was a prosecutor in the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted federal and state trials and led investigations into crimes including homicide, fraud, and money laundering. Cramer also spent three years as an attorney at law firm Brown Rudnick LLP.
He holds a JD from Temple University, an MBA from Northeastern University, and a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo.
