Risk and disputes consultancy HKA expands into Detroit
HKA, a risk and disputes consultancy specializing in the construction sector, has expanded into Detroit with the addition of two construction claims experts from Berkeley Research Group: Mile Milivojevic and Francisco Mojica.
Milivojevic joins HKA as principal and leader of Detroit operations. He bring more than 30 years of construction sector experience, with a focus on consulting and expert witness services.
Milivojevic has extensive experience analyzing claims related to lost productivity, disruption, acceleration, and delay, and has testified as an expert on behalf of owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
He spent the last 10-and-a-half years at Berkeley Research Group (BRG), where he was an associate director. Before that, Milivojevic spent four years as an associate director at Navigant.
He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Mostar, Bosnia.Mojica joins HKA as an associate director, bringing more than 20 years of experience in architecture and construction management. He has expertise across claims dispute and analysis, cost analysis, negotiation, schedule development and analysis, and technical document development, among other areas.
Mojica previously spent over a decade at BRG, where he was a senior managing consultant. Before that, he spent three years as a senior consultant in Navigant’s construction practice. He was also previously a project manager at MTS Construction and an architectural expeditor at Parlovecchio Building & Development.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
