AlixPartners hires Houston-based energy consultant Irfan Bidiwala

Consulting firm AlixPartners has hired Irfan Bidiwala as a managing director in its Houston office.

Bidiwala brings extensive experience advising oil and gas and industrial clients on growth strategy and business model transformation. He has expertise in pricing optimization, go-to-market cost reduction, customer profitability, sales and marketing, and mergers and acquisitions.

Bidiwala has advised major oil companies, renewable energy firms, industrial players, private equity investors, and government departments. He has worked with clients across six continents.

Bidiwala joins AlixPartners from Oliver Wyman, where he spent over 10 years and was latterly a partner in the consulting firm’s energy practice. He headed the practice’s commercial excellence function and led projects in organizational redesign, turnaround, and sourcing strategy, among other areas.AlixPartners hires Houston-based energy consultant Irfan BidiwalaBefore that, Bidiwala was a manager in the energy and chemical practice of Arthur D. Little. He was also previously a supply chain analyst at oilfield services giant Halliburton. Earlier in his career, Bidiwala was a software developer at BMC Software.

He holds an MBA from Rice University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
