Chuck Moritt and Don Harrington have joined as partners in the mergers and acquisitions practice of Mercer, a global human resources consulting and wealth management firm.

Mercer’s M&A practice helps organizations analyze and address workforce issues and people risks in transactions. The firm says 60% of deals fail because of workforce issues – making it a key element of the M&A process, from planning and due diligence through to post-close integration.

Moritt will focus on advising strategic and financial buyers and sellers on HR-related issues, while Harrington will focus on private equity clients.

Based in Washington, DC, Moritt brings more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has deep expertise advising organizations across industries on strategic planning, workforce planning, M&A, employee engagement, and executive compensation and remuneration.

Moritt spent the first 29 years of his career at Mercer, starting as a pensions actuary and then eventually leading the firm’s North American multinational client group. He also previously led Mercer’s North American M&A business.Chuck Moritt and Don Harrington - MercerHe rejoins Mercer from EY, where he spent the last three years as a managing director in the firm’s people advisory services group.
