Eliassen Group, a Reading, MA-based IT consulting and talent solutions firm, has acquired Lightwell, a Dublin, Ohio-based IT consulting firm.

Founded in 1998, Lightwell works with clients across industries on projects primarily in cloud and integration, along with application development, architecture, DevOps, order management, and managed services. The Columbus-area firm also provides strategic IT staffing and recruiting services.

Lightwell’s technology partners include AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, IBM, and MuleSoft. The firm has more than 200 people across the US, Canada, Ireland, and the UK, according to LinkedIn.

Eliassen’s acquisition of Lightwell will significantly enhance the firm’s professional services business, which has offerings in agile consulting, cloud services, risk management, and business optimization.Eliassen Group buys IT consulting firm Lightwell"We're thrilled to join the Eliassen Group team, enabling us to offer our clients an enhanced portfolio of strategic IT consulting services—particularly those included in Eliassen's Professional Services division—and provide our team with a wider range of opportunities to excel,” Michelle Kerr, president and chairman of Lightwell, said. “Eliassen's rapid growth in cloud consulting, their history of success in technology consulting, and their exceptional commitment to the success of their clients and team members make Eliassen the perfect home for Lightwell."

Since being acquired by private equity firm Stone Point Capital in November 2018, Eliassen has steadily expanded its IT staffing business. Eliassen’s IT staffing firm acquisitions since then include The Armada Group, Webster Consulting Group, Credere Group, and Project One.

Eliassen also earlier this year bolstered its life sciences consulting practice with the addition of The Evanston Group, an industry specialist management consultancy.

"Our strategic partnership with Lightwell marks an exciting time for Eliassen Group," said Dave MacKeen, CEO of Eliassen Group. "Not only does it enhance Eliassen's offerings in the cloud consulting and IT solutions space, but it also brings Eliassen to an international stage.”

Prior to the deal, Eliassen had approximately 800 people across 20+ offices in the United States.
