Bounteous buys customer experience agency Hathway
Bounteous, a digital marketing and transformation consultancy, has acquired Hathway, a San Luis Obispo, CA-based customer experience agency specializing in quick-service restaurants and convenience stores.
Founded in 2009, Hathway works with high-profile brands such as Wingstop, Panda Express, and Dash-In Food Stores on their digital transformation journey. The firm helps clients hammer out their digital experience strategy, build websites and mobile apps, optimize their ecommerce platforms, implement customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, design and manage loyalty programs, and create and personalize content.
Hathway’s technology partners include Salesforce, Olo, and Amplitude. The firm’s proprietary solutions include NomNom, a tech accelerator that powers custom digital ordering and loyalty applications and slots into ecommerce platforms like Olo.
The firm has more than 400 employees, according to Linkedin.Bounteous’ acquisition of Hathway will significantly augment its ability to support QSR and convenience store brands in their digital challenges. The Chicago-based firm works with clients in a range of industries, including retail, financial services, technology, media, hospitality, QSR, food and beverage, manufacturing, and energy.
“Bounteous’ acquisition of Hathway is exciting because together we can supercharge growth for our clients. Together we have differentiated industry expertise, unparalleled partnerships, unique intellectual property, a full-service digital innovation offering and compelling scale,” said Keith Schwartz, co-founder and CEO of Bounteous.

The acquisition builds on a solid growth trajectory at Bounteous in the last five years, with the firm tripling its global headcount to 1,110 and growing its revenues six-fold. The firm – which has offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, and India – attracted a strategic investment from private equity firm New Mountain Capital in August. Bounteous subsequently bolted on Lister Digital, an India-based digital consultancy. The September deal added 350 professionals skilled in digital commerce, marketing, and engineering.
