EisnerAmper expands Florida presence with Caler, Donten & Levine purchase
EisnerAmper, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A (CDL), a West Palm Beach, FL-based accounting and consulting firm.
Founded in 1987, CDL delivers audit, tax, and advisory services to small and mid-sized organizations in real estate and construction, restaurant and hospitality, life sciences, manufacturing, and non-profit, among others. The firm has 13 partners and 100 professionals across offices in West Palm Beach and Stuart.
EisnerAmper’s acquisition of CDL will significantly expand the New York-headquartered firm’s Florida operations, where it has a Miami location.
“We're thrilled to have the partners and staff of a firm with the stature of CDL join us," said Christopher Loiacono, vice chair of services for Eisner Advisory Group. "As the first firm to partner with us since the TowerBrook capital infusion, it shows that companies want to join us in growing and taking their businesses to the next level."TowerBrook invested in the firm earlier this year. As part of the investment, the company was divided into EisnerAmper LLP, a CPA firm that provides attest services, and Eisner Advisory Group, which delivers business advisory and non-attest services.
"Everyone at CDL is very excited about joining EisnerAmper, a firm whose values and reputation mirror ours," said Louis Cohen, partner-in-charge of CDL. "This is a great opportunity for our firm and clients to benefit from the full menu of services, expertise, technology and other resources EisnerAmper brings to bear."
The deal will give EisnerAmper 15 offices coast to coast. The firm – which has more than 2,200 employees – also has international locations in the London, Tel Aviv, Mumbai, Bangalore, and the Cayman Islands.
Rival mid-market firm CohnReznick last month announced the opening of its first office in Florida with the launch of a Miami location.
