MorganFranklin buys SAP specialist Blue Marble Consulting
MorganFranklin Consulting, a national management and technology consulting firm, has acquired Blue Marble Consulting, a Big Sky, Montana-based SAP implementation partner.
Founded in 2001, Blue Marble has supported more than 100 SAP ERP clients across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, the public sector, and energy, among other industries. The firm’s offerings include implementation services, design optimization, training, super user enablement, and application management support. Blue Marble has a team of six people.
SAP is one of the largest vendors of enterprise resource planning software, alongside rivals Oracle and Microsoft. The ERP software market grew 4% to $40 billion in 2020, according to Gartner. Allied Market Research projects the global ERP market will grow to $86 billion by 2027.
MorganFranklin’s acquisition of Blue Marble will add SAP implementation capabilities to the firm’s technology practice. The Washington, DC-based firm’s ERP offerings currently include Oracle and Microsoft, among others.
“The acquisition of Blue Marble adds to our robust digital transformation and enterprise cloud application solutions practice and enables MorganFranklin to meet the growing demands of our clients,” said Geoff Harkness, managing director and practice leader at MorganFranklin. “We are excited to welcome Blue Marble to our fast-growing team and look forward to collaboratively serving our clients.”
Acquired by staffing firm Vaco in 2019, MorganFranklin offers finance, technology, cybersecurity, and business consulting services. The firm added a supply chain consulting offering earlier this year when it was combined with sister company Plantensive.
MorganFranklin last year bought the ERP practice of Kraft Enterprise Systems and sold its public sector practice to BDO USA.
The firm has more than 500 professionals across 10 offices in the United States.
“Our approach has always been to simplify SAP and help clients maximize the return on their technology investment,” said Sabrina Sigourney, founder and CEO of Blue Marble Consulting. “Joining forces with MorganFranklin allows us to incorporate their broader set of capabilities, providing tremendous value to all our clients.”
