Moses & Singer launches healthcare and life sciences consulting firm
Moses & Singer LLP, a New York-based law firm, has launched MS Strategic Solutions LLC, an independent consulting company providing advisory and cybersecurity services to healthcare and life sciences clients.
The new consulting firm is a response to client demand for “more diverse service offerings” and “holistic models for service delivery,” according to Moses & Singer’s website.
MS Strategic Solutions’ offerings include: life sciences advisory (startup advisory services, pipeline and portfolio review, manufacturing and distribution, IP portfolio development, product development regulatory services, healthcare business strategy consulting); R&D (grants management, ethical conduct, research operational assistance); compliance and privacy programs; privacy and cybersecurity services (assessments, policy and procedure development, penetration testing, training, breach response); and digital health (compliance policy and procedure, operational enhancement, process automation, health IT integration).
The new company – which is not a law firm and will not offer legal services – is led by three lawyers from Moses & Singer’s healthcare and privacy/cybersecurity practices: Linda Malek, Lisa Murtha, and Jason Johnson.
“With mounting challenges unique to healthcare and life sciences, particularly in navigating the rapidly changing regulatory environment, we are eager to provide clients with an enhanced level of advisory and legal services from one source,” said Malek, who chairs the healthcare and privacy/cybersecurity practices at Moses & Singer. “It’s a more comprehensive and business-oriented approach to assist clients with their operations while continuing to give them the benefit of experienced practitioners.”
MS Strategic Solutions’ cybersecurity offering will be enhanced through a partnership with B. Riley Advisory Services, a health IT forensics and security specialist.
Moses & Singer was founded in 1919 and has approximately 160 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm provides legal services to companies, individuals, and families in the New York City area. Moses & Singer’s practice areas include financing and corporate transactions, intellectual property and commercial litigation, corporate reorganizations and bankruptcy, matrimonial law, income tax, trust and estates, and asset protection.
