SGS-Maine Pointe partners with supply chain software firm Starboard
SGS-Maine Pointe, a global supply chain and operations consulting firm, has partnered with Starboard Solutions Corp., a provider of supply chain design software.
SGS-Maine Pointe will now help its clients implement Starboard’s Navigator platform, which provides companies with a single workflow for data blending, modeling, and reporting – while delivering insights to identify and track end-to-end supply chain improvements.
"We are thrilled to welcome SGS-Maine Pointe to our rapidly expanding partner program," said Steve Johanson, founder and president of Starboard. "At Starboard, we foster relationships built on reciprocity and by collaborating with businesses like SGS-Maine Pointe, our technology can help their clients make better network decisions faster and therefore realize cost savings and service improvements faster."
The alliance will combine SGS-Maine Pointe’s expertise in supply chain strategy, optimization, and technology implementation with Starboard’s robust supply chain design platform. The Traverse City, MI-based software firm’s clients include leading companies such as Miele, Porsche, JLL, and CBRE.
The supply chain challenges of the last few years are likely to persist in at least the near-term, forcing companies to seek out avenues to boost agility and resiliency while reducing risk. Starboard’s software can help organizations bridge the gap between logistics data and decision-making and create a streamlined model with support for real-time access.
“We have experience with many different software packages and have seen the disconnect between their modeling processes and how the cross functional teams want to design their supply chains,” said Nathanael Powrie, EVP for data analytics at SGS-Maine Pointe. “Starboard gives us the quantitatively perfect answer by creating a visually interactive supply chain digital twin with real time scenario planning. That way we can balance our clients' questions and not have to miss a decision-making window by engaging in a data quest.”
The new partnership will enhance SGS-Maine Pointe’s data analytics capability – a key part of the firm’s Total Value Optimization (TVO) approach, which aims to transform reactive operations into forward-looking and continually improving supply chains.
Headquartered in Boston, SGS-Maine Pointe provides services across supply chain transformation, operational excellence, network design, logistics optimization, due diligence and post-merger integration, and ESG, among other areas. The firm is part of SGS, a global testing, inspection, and certification company with 96,000 employees.
SGS-Maine Pointe was earlier this year named one of Forbes’ Best Management Consulting Firms in America and was the number one supply chain consultancy in Consulting.us’ rankings.
