Carrie Valente joins AlixPartners' risk practice as managing director
Carrie Valente, an experienced risk management and compliance consulting professional, has joined AlixPartners as a managing director in the firm’s risk practice.
Based in New York, Valente brings more than 20 years of consulting experience. She has deep expertise advising clients on risk and compliance program development, investigations, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption. Valente has worked on engagements in a range of industries, including retail, banking, fintech, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
Valente joins AlixPartners from KPMG US, where she spent the last 23 years and most recently served as a managing director in the financial crimes and analytics practice.
She has an MBA in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in economic crime investigation from Syracuse University.

AlixPartners’ investigations and compliance practice supports companies facing allegations of accounting irregularities, corruption, and money laundering. The practice’s advisors conduct investigations, perform data collection, serve as independent monitors, and help close control gaps and decrease compliance risk.
The practice was bolstered by the 2020 acquisition of Freeh Group, a global risk management firm.
