Attain Partners buys quality management specialist Juran
Attain Partners, a McLean, VA-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has acquired Juran, a Southington, CT-based consulting and training firm specializing in quality management.
Juran was founded in 1979 by Joseph Juran, a professor in the industrial engineering department of New York University. Driven by its founder’s seminal work in quality management – including the “Juran trilogy” and various engagements with Japanese manufacturers in the 1950s – Juran helps public and private sector clients across industries improve organizational performance.
The firm’s solutions and services include the core Juran trilogy – quality planning, control, and improvement – as well as comprehensive training and certification programs for methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS).
Juran has more than 40 employees, according to LinkedIn, and has worked with clients including Unilever, Samsung, Raytheon, and Kaiser Permanente.
Juran will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Attain, going by the branding “Attain Partners | Juran.”

Founded in 2009, Attain Partners offers management, technology, and compliance consulting services to nonprofit, education, healthcare, and state and local government clients. The firm sold its federal practice Maximus last year for $430 million.
