Chris McGee joins AArete as head of financial services practice
Chris McGee has joined management and technology consultancy AArete as managing director and leader of its global financial services industry practice. He is based in New York.
McGee brings nearly 20 years of experience advising financial services clients, including retail, commercial, corporate, and investment banks, as well as insurance firms, wealth managers, capital markets, and fintech firms. He will lead a practice that has offerings across strategic cost reduction, M&A strategy, digital, cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
McGee joins AArete from Gartner, where he spent the last three years as global client director and leader of the technology sales team for financial services and banking. In the role, he led teams that helped financial services clients plan and implement digital products and platforms to enhance customer, client, and employee experience.
Before that, McGee spent nearly 14 years at PwC US, where he was latterly a director in the financial services advisory practice and led engagements in strategic business transformation, risk management, compliance, and regulatory remediation.
He has an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Fairfield University.
“Chris brings a depth of experience to our financial services practice. His focused approach to delivering exceptional client service will help us propel this fast-growing segment of our firm. He is making immediate contributions and I am thrilled to welcome him to the team," said Loren Trimble, CEO of AArete.
AArete was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Chicago. The firm works with clients on strategic profitability improvement, digital and technology, operational improvement, supply chain optimization, turnaround, and M&A initiatives. AArete has more than 400 people across nine offices in the US, UK, and India.
The firm earlier this year added Dana Dolan and Priya Iragavarapu as VPs based in Chicago.
