ESG consultancy Third Economy adds Bob McCormick as senior advisor
Third Economy, a San Francisco sustainable investment research and consulting firm, has welcomed Bob McCormick as a senior advisor.
McCormick brings 35 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on corporate governance and ESG. He most recently served as managing director and now as an advisory council member at PJT Camberview, a shareholder advisory firm providing advice to public companies on shareholder relations, activism and contested situations, sustainability, and corporate governance.
McCormick previously spent a decade at proxy advisory services firm Glass Lewis, where he served as chief policy officer responsible for managing the research and proxy voting recommendations of over 20,000 reports annually covering public companies in over 100 countries. Before that, he served as director of investment proxy research at Fidelity Investments, managing the annual voting of over 5,000 securities worth $1 trillion held in Fidelity mutual funds.
McCormick has a law degree from Quinnipiac University and a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.
“As investors and companies build their ESG and related capabilities, Bob's expertise will ensure that they focus on the aspects that will derive maximum financial return and resonate with investors and other stakeholders" said Chad Spitler, CEO of Third Economy. "We are excited to have Bob join our rapidly growing company to help our clients and support our mission to accelerate the sustainability of the global capital markets."
