Sia Partners buys New York creative agency Addison
Sia Partners, a Paris-headquartered management and technology consultancy, has expanded its digital marketing arm SiaXperience with the acquisition of Addison, a New York-based creative agency.
Founded in 1962, Addison focuses on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) financial communications – serving large clients such as Blackrock, Brookfield, and PepsiCo.
Headed by Roger Byram, the firm has a team of 50 professionals and annual revenue of $12 million.
Byram and the Addison team will join SiaXperience and form the digital marketing arm’s 11th design center. Launched in March and bringing together Sia’s capabilities in digital marketing, collaborative design, and growth strategy, SiaXperience has another 10 locations across the US, Canada, UK, France, The Netherlands, and Hong Kong.
The Addison acquisition will also create a new service line at SiaXperience dedicated to ESG communications.
The deal expands Sia’s marketing division to $30 million or 7% of overall fees. The move also strengthens Sia’s wider ESG consulting offering, which accounts for nearly 20% of fees.
“Our consulting origin defines our specific added value, thanks to the contribution of our experts and our business strategists who work hand in hand with the creatives. The integrated operation of our 11 design centers is a key differentiating factor for international brands,” said Matthieu Courtecuisse, CEO of Sia Partners.
The Addison transaction follows on the heels of Wes Graham’s promotion to CEO of US operations. Sia’s US operations now span more than 600 employees and a dozen offices.
