Deloitte acquires AI consultancy SFL Scientific
Deloitte US has acquired SFL Scientific, a Boston-area consulting firm focusing on artificial intelligence strategy and data science.
Founded in 2015, SFL’s AI strategists, data scientists, and engineers help executives understand and evaluate areas for AI investment and identify opportunities to transform their business. The firm helps S&P100 companies, startups, and government agencies to design, prototype, integrate, and manage AI systems.
SFL works across more than 20 industries, combining the latest technical advances and specific domain knowledge to go from prototype to production.
The consultancy has more than 60 employees, according to LinkedIn.
Deloitte says its acquisition of SFL will further position it as an AI leader and advance its ability to deliver AI-driven transformation for clients.

Deloitte Global’s AI and analytics business comprises more than 27,000 practitioners across 28 delivery centers. The firm has offerings across AI strategy, data and analytics modernization, cloud machine learning, and intelligent automation, among other areas.

Deloitte earlier this year acquired National TeleConsultants (NTC), a Glendale, CA-based technology consulting firm focusing on the media and entertainment industry.
