Grant Thornton US grows revenue over 16% to reach record $2.3 billion
Grant Thornton US achieved $2.3 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ending July 31, 2022, on the back of impressive growth of over 16%.
FY 2022’s strong results represented a healthy rebound over FY 2021, which saw 2.6% growth to reach $1.97 billion.
Advisory services represented 42% of revenue, followed by accounting and audit (33%) and tax services (25%).
“Our FY 2022 revenues demonstrate how effectively we’re delivering against our firm’s purpose: to make business more personal and build trust into every result,” said Seth Siegel, CEO of Grant Thornton. “Not only are we providing clients with high-quality solutions and a peerless experience across our Audit, Tax and Advisory service lines, but we’re doing it by supporting and caring for our people ― enabling record-setting business performance in the process.”
The firm’s major appointments included chief financial officer Kevin Zubor and CEO Seth Siegel, who officially took on the role August 1, 2022.
On the corporate social responsibility front, the Chicago-based firm committed to net-zero carbon emission targets by 2030, and achieved Gold status from EcoVadis, a provider of business sustainability ratings.
Grant Thornton also achieved a 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual assessment of LGBTQ+ workplace equality and a top score on the Disability Equality Index.
Grant Thornton continued to roll out enhanced employee benefits, including mental health benefits and workplace flexibility. The accounting and consulting firm also gave its professionals extended holiday weekends and half-day Fridays in the summer.
