Sikich acquires internal audit specialist Vonya Global
Sikich, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Vonya Global, a Chicago-based consulting firm focusing on internal audit.
Founded in 2007, Vonya provides advisory services in internal audit and financial reporting, IT risk assessment and audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and data privacy compliance.
The firm works with clients in private equity, health, and manufacturing and distribution, among other industries.
The deal will further expand Sikich’s footprint in the Chicagoland area, where it is headquartered. The Vonya team of 20+ professionals – including co-founders and partners Steve Randall, Veronika Fritz, and Sargon Youmara – will join Sikich’s downtown Chicago office.
"Chicago continues to be a priority market for Sikich, and this acquisition allows us to expand our offerings and add industry-leading expertise to our team," said Tom Krehbiel, partner at Sikich and leader of the firm's CPA practice. "Vonya Global has unique experience offering tailored risk mitigation and internal audit solutions to a global customer base. The addition of the Vonya Global team will advance our effort to be a leading provider of transformative business services."
Sikich last month acquired two Chicago firms: Accelerated Growth, an accounting, finance, and technology consultancy; and O’Malley & Kwit, a specialized tax firm.
"We founded Vonya Global with a focus on building relationships, both with our clients and our employees," Randall said. "Sikich's client service mentality and people-first culture will allow us to continue to grow upon these relationships.”
Sikich is headquartered in Naperville, IL and has more than 1,400 people across 17 offices coast-to-coast. The firm is the 28th-largest CPA firm in the US, according to Inside Public Accounting, with $228.6 million in annual revenue.
