KPMG US has named Travis Hunter, Jr as managing partner of its Chicago office, effective January 3.

Hunter, who has been at KPMG for over 23 years, succeeds Linda Imonti, who is transitioning to a senior leadership role with the Big Four accountancy after leading the Chicago office for three years.

Hunter will oversee the strategic direction and growth of the major office, as well as the career development of its nearly 3,000 partners and professionals.

“I’m grateful to Linda Imonti who has an incredible team and a legacy of service at KPMG Chicago, and I’m honored by the opportunity to expand upon her work. I look forward to working with our tremendous team of partners and professionals to help our clients adapt and thrive in today’s ever-changing environment,” Hunter said.

Hunter most recently was a Dallas-based audit partner focusing on engagements with healthcare provider entities including public home health, hospice, long-term care facilities, and teaching hospitals. He has deep expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor regulations, including cost reports, reimbursement rates and estimates, and statutory reporting.
