Baringa opens new offices in New York and Charlotte
Baringa, a London-headquartered management consulting firm, has opened an expanded office in New York and a new office in Charlotte, NC.
The expansion arrives in response to heightened demand for services from the firm’s US client base spanning the energy and resources, financial services, consumer goods and services, and government sectors.
“Our new location in midtown Manhattan allows us to meet the needs of our expanding team and customer base,” said Brad O’Brien, partner, US financial services, Baringa. “With the significant growth we’ve experienced in the financial services sector, opening an office in Charlotte – the second-largest banking center in the US by total assets – makes sense strategically.”
Baringa – which has more than 1,500 people across Europe, the US, Singapore, and Australia – entered the US market in 2017 with the launch of a New York office. The firm followed that with a Chicago location, and launched its US energy practice in 2019.
Baringa says it has seen elevated demand for financial and risk advisory, technology transformation, and consulting services pertaining to future energy systems. Clients have also been requesting support with ESG initiatives in the face of approaching climate-related disclosure requirements.
“US businesses are experiencing demands from multiple stakeholders,” O’Brien said. “Companies of all sizes are responding to the growing challenges from climate change, while continuing to capitalize on new opportunities to drive growth and serve their customers.”
Baringa last year welcomed three directors to its US energy and resources practice: Ken Lesniak, Lisa Flowers, and Nina Fahy.
