Secretariat acquires economic consulting firm Intensity

Secretariat, an Atlanta-based expert witness and litigation consulting firm, has acquired Intensity LLC, a San Diego-based economic consulting firm.

Founded in 2014, Intensity provides financial and economic expert services to law firms and legal departments across industries. The firm’s litigation practice offers advisory services in antitrust & competition, intellectual property, labor & employment, and securities & finance, while its analytics practice has offerings in predictive modeling, forecasting, investing, and marketing & promotion.

Intensity has nearly 50 professionals across San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Washington, DC, and New York.

Secretariat’s acquisition of Intensity will grow its economic and regulatory advisory practice to 100+ professionals and add significant capabilities in IP, securities, antitrust, and commercial damages, among other areas. The transaction will also expand Secretariat’s employee footprint into San Diego and Dallas.

Secretariat expanded into economic consulting with the 2021 acquisition of Economists Incorporated, an advisory firm with more than 50 people in DC, Tallahassee, and San Francisco.

Secretariat has more than 600 employees listed on LinkedIn, with offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. The firm advises law firms and global corporations on forensic investigations, construction damages, construction delay, government contracts, and economic damages.
