SGS Maine Pointe's Tiffany Pankratz-Umbehr wins supply chain award
Tiffany Pankratz-Umbehr, senior managing director and head of the consumer goods and retail practice at SGS Maine Pointe, has been named one of Food Logistics’ 2023 Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.
The publication’s 71 award winners were recognized for their achievements, hard work, and vision in shaping the global cold food supply chain. Winners included leaders from various transport/logistics firms and consulting firms.
“Not all rock stars are famous musicians. There are several rock stars right here in the cold chain, promoting workforce development, solving supply chain disruptions, mitigating risks, and helping to heal the supply chain,” said Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics. “I’m honored to celebrate these go-getters, and this year is no exception.”
Pankratz-Umbehr, who joined SGS Maine Pointe last year, has acted as a trusted advisor to numerous consumer and retail clients to help them overcome pandemic and long-term challenges and drive growth into the future.
She has nearly 20 years of experience in consumer products, industrial manufacturing, and retail. Before joining SGS Maine Pointe, Pankratz-Umbehr held leadership roles in business development at Accenture and EY.
“It is an honor to be recognized alongside some of the industry’s most prominent and successful leaders,” she said. “In acknowledging my work in the industry, Food Logistics also recognizes SGS Maine Pointe’s strategies in solving the industry’s most complex problems relating to production optimization, maintenance and reliability, logistics and warehouse management, management systems, supply chain optimization, sourcing, SIOP, and network optimization.”
Pankratz-Umbehr recently had an article in Food Logistics – “2 Things to Do Before Automating Your Food Processing Company” – that examines how pre-emptively strengthening data and optimizing processes can help ensure a successful automation project.
She also recently authored the SGS Maine Pointe white paper “The Pragmatic Approach to Tackling Disruptions in Consumer Goods and Retail Supply Chains,” which examines how companies can gain stability and flexibility to head off potential disruptions.
