John Levitske joins HKA as partner in Chicago office

John Levitske has joined HKA’s Chicago office as a partner in the forensic accounting and commercial damages group.

Levistke brings more than 35 years of experience advising companies, investors, and legal counsel on financial, business valuation, accounting, and damages issues. He has extensive expertise in complex commercial situations, including business, shareholder, bankruptcy, and M&A-related disputes.

Levitske has served as an expert witness in trials, mediations, and arbitrations across a wide range of industries in the US and internationally.

Levitske previously spent four years at Ankura, where he was a senior managing director focusing on valuation and transaction disputes. Before that he spent nine years at Duff & Phelps (now Kroll) where he was a managing director in the disputes and investigations practice.

Earlier in his career, Levitske was a director in the dispute advisory services practices of KPMG and Deloitte.

Aside from his consulting work, Levitske also lectures as an adjunct faculty member at Benedictine University.

He has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Duquesne University.

The group advises on forensic accounting and corporate fraud, regulatory investigation and white-collar crime, and bankruptcy.

HKA specializes in risk mitigation and dispute resolution consulting within the capital projects and infrastructure sector. The firm has more than 1,000 people across offices in North America, EMEA, and APAC.

HKA recently welcomed Bill Thompson as an associate director in its geotechnical engineering practice in Philadelphia.
