Kearney launches supply chain institute
Kearney, a Chicago-headquartered management consulting firm, has launched its Kearney Supply Chain Institute – bringing together its various reports and insights on operations and supply chains.
Kearney, which bills itself as the “original operations consulting firm," says the institute will help it place new emphasis on its position as a leading authority on supply chain foresights and operational excellence.
The Kearney Supply Chain Institute (KSCI) will help promote legacy studies such as the Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP), which has been providing procurement insights since 1992 and covers 3,100 companies; the Global Factory of the Year, which has been assessing manufacturing excellence since 1992 and encompasses 2,000 factories in 30+ countries; and the Annual Reshoring Index, which has been covering reshoring trends since 2014 and polls more than 200 executives.
The KSCI will also highlight the firm’s latest operations and supply chain content, such as a recent collaborative study with AWS – “Optimism in operations: why COOs are the key to corporate regeneration” – which surveyed more than 100 executives.
The institute will further promote efforts like its work with the World Economic Forum, which led to the creation of The Resiliency Compass, a framework for assessing value chain resilience across eight key dimensions.
"Understandably, supply chains have been a regular topic of discussion in the news and top of mind for executives over the past few years," said associate partner Rupal Deshmukh, a supply chain expert who will serve as the global lead for the KSCI. "Supply chain excellence has long been critical to business success, and now more than ever there is a strong need for agile end-to-end supply chains to avoid disruption and supply shocks while ensuring that product gets to market in a timely fashion. We look forward to the Kearney Supply Chain Institute being a valuable partner to businesses seeking to navigate these challenges."
Kearney (formerly A.T. Kearney) was founded in 1926 and is one of the leading international management consulting firms, with more than 4,200 employees across 60+ offices. The firm had $1.3 billion in revenue in 2021.
