HKA acquires Washington, DC-based Credibility International

HKA, a global risk and disputes consulting firm, has acquired Credibility International, a Washington, DC-based provider of fraud investigation and expert testimony services for damages and financial issues.

Founded in 2010, Credibility’s experts have extensive testimonial experience on subjects including damages, valuation, accounting, fraud, bribery and corruption – delivering opinions to courts and arbitrations for disputes involving businesses in 40+ countries.

The firm’s team of 14 professionals include certified public accountants and certified fraud examiners with deep expertise in accounting irregularities, auditor malpractice, and M&A transaction disputes. Credibility’s valuation experts regularly provide damages analysis in international investor-state disputes and for domestic shareholder disputes related to investments.

The acquisition will expand HKA’s Washington office and bolster its service offering in forensic accounting and investigative services.

The deal is HKA’s third US acquisition in the last four years. The firm in November 2022 acquired TM Financial Forensics, a litigation consultancy with 65 professionals in California and Chicago, and in July 2019 acquired The Kenrich Group, a litigation consultancy with 100+ professionals across 11 offices in the US.
