HBR Consulting, LAC Group, and Wilson Allen name executive team

Renovus Capital-backed HBR Consulting, LAC Group, and Wilson Allen have announced the executive leadership team for a new, combined consulting firm catering to the legal sector.

Renovus Capital, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm focusing on the knowledge sector, acquired LAC Group and Wilson Allen in July 2022, and then acquired the consulting division of Chicago-based HBR Consulting in November 2022.

HBR Consulting focuses on strategic advisory, implementation, and managed services for large law firms and corporate law departments. LAC is a provider of legal research, information management, and competitive intelligence solutions. Wilson Allen is an IT consultancy focusing on legal sector enterprise technology transformation, with capabilities in financial, risk, and marketing systems; cloud migration; data management and integration; and business process automation.

The combined firm will have over 600 employees across North America and Europe serving over 80% of the Global 200 law firms and nearly half of Fortune 500 companies.

The organization will continue to go to market under the three existing brands, with a new brand launch planned later this year.

Joining Sunderman in the executive leadership team are:

Robert Carrao, executive chairman; formerly CEO of LAC Group.

Lauren Chung, chief practice officer; formerly chief practice officer at HBR. Chung will lead practice optimization and solution innovation across the organization.

Kevin Clem, chief growth officer; formerly chief commercial officer at HBR. Clem will lead the go-to-market organization – including client engagement, client operations, and client success teams.

Jae Cornelssen, chief financial officer; formerly CFO of healthtech startup Think Research.

Karen Curran, chief talent officer; formerly EVP for human capital management at Wilson Allen.

Norm Mullock, global head of corporate development and partnerships; formerly chief strategy and innovation officer at Wilson Allen.

Kaye Sycamore, global head of marketing and brand strategy; formerly chief revenue officer at Wilson Allen.

Mario Theriault, global head of integration; formerly chief operating officer at LAC Group.
