RSM promotes Sergio de la Fe to enterprise digital leader
RSM US, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Sergio de la Fe as enterprise digital leader. He is based in Miami.
In his new role, de la Fe will oversee the firm’s internal digital transformation strategy and execution. He will also serve as a member of RSM’s executive leadership team.
"Sergio will be instrumental in guiding the integration of our people, processes and technology and furthering our strategy to become a digital firm that offers assurance, tax and consulting services,” said Brian Becker, CEO of RSM US. “When we embrace technology, we enable our people to provide our clients with the best products and services for success in an ever-changing business environment.”
De la Fe has more than 28 years of experience in professional services, including nearly 14 years at RSM. He joined the firm as a partner and most recently served as national leader for the industrials sector and enterprise accounts – overseeing go-to-market strategy and implementation for the consulting business.
De la Fe also was a board member from 2015 to 2019, serving as chairman for the last year of his tenure. He also co-founded RSM’s employee network group for Hispanic and Latino professionals.
Before joining RSM, he spent 18 years at KPMG US, latterly serving as a partner responsible for client service delivery for external audit and consulting services. He was also a member of KPMG’s national audit quality council.
De la Fe has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and is a certified public accountant, certified global management accountant, and certified information technology professional.
"I am excited to serve as the firm's enterprise digital leader, working with our business leaders and partners to direct RSM's digital transformation," said de la Fe. "As a digital firm, we will continue to focus on creating value for our clients and enabling our people to serve them in the most innovative ways. At RSM, we are adding value by building solutions and implementing innovative technologies across all our business lines."
RSM is the fifth-largest accountancy in the US, according to IPA, with 11,000 employees and $3.31 billion in annual revenue.
The firm earlier this month appointed John Brackett as chief risk officer.
