EY names 966 new partners globally
EY Global has promoted 966 team members to partner, down slightly from the 1,033-person partner class in 2022.
Women accounted for over a third of new partners, at 34% compared to 32% in 2022.

423 promotions (41%) were in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA), followed by the Americas area with 398 promotions (39%) and Asia-Pacific with 212 (20%). One-third (33%) of new partners were in emerging markets.
Assurance accounted for the most partner promotions with 344 (33%), followed by consulting with 265 (26%); strategy and transactions with 171 (16%); and tax with 235 (23%). Additionally, there were 18 new partners in the business support function (2%). The new partners officially begin their new roles in early July.
EY Global has more than 312,250 employees in more than 150 countries.
The global accountancy network in April canceled its ambitious plan to split its audit and consulting businesses after facing insurmountable opposition from audit partners in the US.
EY US later that month announced it would cut 3,000 jobs, or 5% of its workforce – mostly within its consulting business.
