Baker Tilly names Timothy Costello head of enterprise solutions and operations
Baker Tilly US, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Timothy Costello as managing partner for enterprise solutions and operations. He is based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters.
Costello brings more than 35 years of experience in professional services and technology to Baker Tilly, where he will oversee finance, enterprise technology, data analytics, corporate development, and administrative functions.
In the newly created role, Costello will report to the firm’s COO and lead strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline business processes.
A longtime CEO and CFO, Costello has deep expertise in strategy, finance, operations, and organization.
He joined Baker Tilly last year when it acquired True Partners Consulting, a Chicago-based tax specialist where he served as CEO for two years and CFO for 15 years.
Before that, Costello spent nine years as CFO of Sphere Communications, a telecom software company.
He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he spent a decade and was latterly a senior manager working on engagements in audit, compliance, and due diligence.
Costello has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The firm earlier this year appointed Gregg Hamilton-Piercy as leader of its newly formed valuation practice.
