Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a global management consulting firm, has hired several managing directors and senior directors across its various practice areas: Brooke Hopkins, Chris George, Joe Shepley, Michael Sugrue, Pablo Wangermann, and Joseph Perovich.

Brooke Hopkins (Dallas) joins as a managing director in the disputes and investigations (DI) practice. She brings more than 25 years of experience in financial advisory and strategic consulting, with expertise spanning cross-border forensic accounting investigations, corruption, bribery, anti-money laundering, and other regulatory matters.

Hopkins most recently spent 18 years with AlixPartners, where she was a partner and managing director.

Chris George (Boston) joins A&M as a managing director and head of the health systems practice within the healthcare industry group. He has more than 25 years of consulting and industry experience in healthcare, with expertise in performance improvement and technology transformation, among other areas.

George joins A&M from FTI Consulting, where he spent the last 11 years and was a senior managing director and leader of the commercial healthcare practice.

Joe Shepley (Chicago) joins as a managing director in the DI practice. He has more than 20 years of experience in information governance, with expertise in information management assessment, program modernization, benchmarking, and data cleanup.

Michael Sugrue (Boston) joins as a managing director in the DI practice. He has more than 20 years of legal and technology experience focusing on digital forensics, complex electronic discovery, and cyber incident response. Sugrue has led numerous forensic and e-discovery engagements for high-profile litigation matters in the financial services and energy sectors.

He most recently spent seven years at Stroz Friedberg (now Aon Cyber Solutions) where he was a managing director.

Pablo Wangermann (Dallas) joins as a managing director in the private equity performance improvement practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in aerospace and defense as a consultant, engineer, and technology executive.

Wangermann was previously a consultant with AlixPartners, Oliver Wyman, and Booz Allen Hamilton and an executive with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and DXC Technology.

Joe Perovich (Dallas) joins as a senior director in the private equity performance improvement practice. He has more than 30 years of experience leading strategic transformational change initiatives in the public and private sectors, with sectoral expertise in aerospace and defense, energy, and consumer goods.

Perovich was previously president of Hitachi Consulting Government Solutions and a senior program manager and systems engineer leader at Texas Instruments Defense Systems Group and Raytheon.
