Sr. Financial Analyst (Aerospace)

Position Summary
A Senior Finance & Operations Analyst in an aerospace engagement is responsible for assisting the analysis/engagement team in understanding and building the business case for an engagement. This includes the design and development operational and Executive dashboards, working with MP Data Analytics, to provide overall visibility of progress towards achievement of engagement deliverables. This role needs to understand all the complexities of the deliverables/integration points in the project workstreams and have a solid understanding of manufacturing operations in an aerospace organization. The Senior Financial Analyst works collaboratively with the Engagement Leader and Maine Pointe Baseline Analyst to facilitate shared understanding of the status of all engagement goals with the client.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Build and execute methodology (dashboard/KPIs) to track all benefits for all workstreams on an engagement.
- Based on the Management Operating System (MOS) and KPI’s identified above, design and implement operational dashboards across all workstreams to track these KPI’s and update as required.
- For Operations workstreams work collaboratively with the cross functional team to design and implement the (MOS) and identify the KPI’s that will be used to measure improvement in the early weeks of the engagement.
- Complete regular (weekly) detailed analysis of KPI trends and results and submit to the Engagement Leader and client to show how MP is “moving the needle”.
- Ensure work streams are on track per PET.
- Provide decision support to allow the team to make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
- Coach/train EL and WSL’s as needed.
Experience / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, CA, CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior finance operations and/or /accounting positions in the aerospace industry and in consulting with at least 2 years in consulting industry, manufacturing, service and back office industries is a plus. Audit experience in public accounting a plus.
- Proven experience interfacing at the C-level executives to present financial analysis and dashboards and influence decision making.
- Have a solid understanding of manufacturing operations preferably in the aerospace industry required.
- Experience in aviation industry is required.
