Prime buys healthcare communications firm Aventine Consulting

Prime Global Medical Communications, a UK-based healthcare communications consultancy, has acquired Aventine Consulting, a Marblehead, MA-based consultancy providing US-focused market access and payer communications.

Founded in 2008, Aventine focuses on market access and reimbursement services designed to demonstrate the value of a product to payers in order to gain product reimbursement. The boutique firm specializes in the developing dossiers and preapproval information exchange decks for the payer audience.

Aventine has a team of five professionals, including co-founders Holly Trautman, PharmD, and Jamie Dunning, PharmD.

Prime’s acquisition of Aventine will bolster its existing evidence and access practice and give it a US market access presence to support clients in the country. Aventine is Prime’s first American acquisition. The UK firm became a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners in April 2021 and the following year bolted on HCD Economics and creative agency Earthware.

Prime works with clients in healthcare and medicine, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. The firm provides services in strategic consultancy, evidence and access, scientific and medical communications, brand and marketing, and patient insights and advocacy.

Prime has more than 400 employees, according to LinkedIn, and seven offices across the UK and US.
