Arup hires Alexa Braun as head of Americas management consulting

Arup, a London-headquartered design and engineering consultancy, has hired Alexa Braun as leader of its Americas management consulting practice. She is based in Los Angeles.

In her new role, Braun will drive growth and investment in the firm’s advisory services, which span strategy and insights, finance and economics, program and project management, assets and operations, people and organization, and sustainable development advisory.

Braun brings over 20 years of consulting experience in asset management strategies, operations, capital planning, and change management. She has worked with numerous clients across government, transportation, aviation, and healthcare – including the US Air Force, Chicago Transit Authority, United Airlines, and Allina Healthcare.

Braun joins Arup from Jacobs, where she spent seven years at most recently served as VP and operations leader for strategic consulting in North America. Before that, she was strategic asset management leader for North America and national practice leader for assessment services.

Before Jacobs, Braun spent a decade at Aecom, where she was latterly assistant group manager for asset management.

Earlier in her career, she held planner roles at EDAW, CH2M, and Peninsula Open Space Trust.

Braun has master’s degrees in landscape architecture and urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dartmouth College.
