The Clearing hires Rodney Ferguson as chief operating officer
The Clearing Inc., a Washington, DC-based change management consulting firm, has hired Rodney Ferguson as chief operating officer.
Ferguson will focus on building the firm’s enterprise services and mission support functions. The Clearing recently developed a new set of enterprise services tools for its federal and commercial clients, for which Ferguson will lead data, product, and visual activities.
Ferguson brings more than 30 years of experience in non-profit management, public affairs, marketing communications, and journalism.
He joins The Clearing from Winrock International, a development non-profit, where he spent the last decade as president and CEO. Before that, Ferguson spent 13 years at marketing agency Lipman Hearne, where he was a partner.
He was also previously a manager in the federal services group of PwC. Earlier in his career, Ferguson was a reporter at The Cleveland Plain Dealer and a reporting fellow at The Wall Street Journal.
He has a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Birmingham-Southern College.
“We've always delivered transformational change," said Tara Carcillo, CEO of The Clearing. "We pride ourselves on doing so more effectively and efficiently than anyone else. As we scale our business, Rodney's vision and experience will help us build the foundation to make an even bigger impact on our clients and their stakeholders."
Founded in 2009, The Clearing supports clients on challenges in strategy, culture, leadership, and customer experience. The firm’s offerings include organizational design and development, agile change management, corporate culture transformation, brand consulting, CX strategy and technology transformation, and leadership training.
The Clearing has more than 130 employees listed on LinkedIn.
“At Winrock, I led a large team that delivered solutions for some of the world's toughest problems," Ferguson said. "The Clearing does the same for federal and commercial clients. Their culture and worldview of bringing clarity to complexity and focusing on the most important organizational solutions is in my DNA, and I can't wait to begin."
