FTI Consulting appoints two senior leaders
FTI Consulting, a Washington, DC-based management consulting firm, has appointed William Perlstein as global leader of its forensic and litigation consulting segment and Rachel Hall as a senior managing director in its corporate finance and restructuring segment.
Based in the firm’s headquarters, Perlstein has more than 40 years of experience as a law firm practitioner, practice leader, and firm managing partner. He has been at FTI since 2020, when he joined the consultancy as a senior managing director and vice chair of client service.
Perlstein previously spent four years at BNY Mellon, where he was senior deputy general counsel. Before that, he spent 33 years at WilmerHale, where he built the law firm’s national insolvency practice and served as managing partner. Perlstein also led the firm’s merger with Hale and Dorr and afterwards servied as co-managing partner of the combined firm.
He has a JD from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Union College.
“Throughout his career, Bill has been passionate about the business of building professional services businesses: forging deep client relationships, driving impact, and attracting and developing people who are passionate to do both of those,” said Steven Gunby, president and CEO of FTI Consulting. “He will help turbocharge the powerful growth of our Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment, build deeper client relationships and attract, grow and promote talented individuals who can build our future.”
Hall is based in Denver and brings over 25 years of experience in transformation, digital strategy, and customer experience to FTI’s healthcare business transformation practice. She has deep expertise supporting clients with achieving strategic performance goals and establishing new care models and digital capabilities – including in AI and machine learning.
Hall was previously a partner/principal in the healthcare consulting practices of KPMG and EY and a healthcare consultant at Point B and Booz Allen Hamilton. Earlier in her career, she was a director at PwC and a senior manager at EY.
Hall has an MBA from Saint Louis University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
“The healthcare industry is changing quickly. Clinician burnout is exceptionally high, and many patients are unable to access the care they need in a timely way,” said Brian Flynn, head of the healthcare business transformation practice at FTI Consulting. “Providers are continuously striving to improve patient outcomes and enable their clinical talent to practice at the top of their licenses. I look forward to seeing how Rachel will tap into her digital health and transformation expertise to help our clients improve patient experiences and attract and retain more providers.”
FTI helps organizations manage change, mitigate risk, and resolve disputes. The firm has 7,900 employees located in 31 countries and generated $3.49 billion in revenue during fiscal year 2023.
