Grant Thornton appoints 56 partners, principals, and managing directors
Grant Thornton US, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has admitted its annual class of new partners and principals and promoted a group of professionals to managing directors.
Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, which provides non-attest services, admitted nine new principals and promoted 22 to managing director. At the same time, Grant Thornton LLP, which provides attest services, admitted 13 new partners and promoted 12 to managing director. The appointments and promotions are effective August 1, 2024.
Grant Thornton split into an alternative practice structure this year as part of New Mountain Capital's acquisition of the Chicago-based firm.

The largest proportion of promotions (44%) were in the audit & assurance practice at Grant Thornton LLP, followed by promotions at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC's tax (27%), advisory (20%), and internal services (9%) practices.
