SRA Consulting hires Robert Mancini as head of new business consulting unit

SRA Consulting, a Glen Allen, VA-based financial services industry risk management consultancy, has hired Robert Mancini as a managing director and leader of its newly launched business consulting practice.
Mancini will lead a practice that builds on SRA’s track record of supporting clients on risk, credit, compliance, and IT challenges.
The business consulting practice launches as adoption of real-time payments has rapidly accelerated. However, many financial institutions, especially those with under $5 billion in assets, are facing challenges in implementation, planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Based in West Palm Beach, FL, Mancini brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services and consulting, with expertise in strategic innovation in payments, open banking, revenue growth solutions, and scaling startups.
He was previously head of payments at fintech company Finastra, head of commercial banking at the Bank of Hawaii, and a partner consultant at Treasury Strategies. Earlier in his career, Mancini was VP of product development at Union Bank and US Bank.
He began his career at BMO, where he was director of operations for the bank’s payment processing departments.
Mancini has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Concordia University in Canada.
“Our expansion into business consulting services represents a natural evolution of our capabilities," said Michael Glotz, CEO of SRA Consulting. "Robert Mancini's leadership and expertise will be instrumental in helping our clients navigate complex technological and operational transformations while maintaining our high standards of risk management."
Founded in 2008, SRA has nine employees listed on LinkedIn. The boutique firm has worked with over 250 clients in the financial services industry.
SRA’s offerings across its risk and credit services practices include enterprise risk management, risk maturity framework assessments, compliance assessment and audit, data governance services, loan review department assessments, capital stress tests, and M&A due diligence.
