Capco promotes Chris McNeely to global energy lead and John Janssen to Texas lead

Capco, a financial services and energy sector consulting firm, has promoted Chris McNeely to global lead of its energy practice and John Janssen to head of the Texas market.
The promotions arrive as Lance McAnelly, Capco’s global head of energy, retires after more than 30 years in the industry. He will remain at the firm until the end of the financial year to ensure a smooth transition.
“I am excited to appoint Chris and John into their new roles as they take the lead in solving our financial services and energy clients’ most complex problems. They are both highly experienced and respected leaders across the industry, with over 25 years’ tenure each in the industry,” said Annie Rowland, CEO of Capco. “I also want to especially thank Lance for his steadfast partnership and leadership over the past two decades.”
McNeely is based in the Houston office, which he will continue to lead. He has been at Capco/SunGard Consulting Services since 1998, leading engagements across the entire energy value chan. McNeely specializes in technology strategy, custom technology solutions, software integrations, compliance, and data integration and reporting.
Before joining SunGard, he was a consultant at Accenture.
McNeely has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Texas A&M University.
Janssen is based in Capco’s Dallas office and will continue to lead the utilities practice. He has been at Capco since 2000, leading large-scale program delivery engagements at energy and financial services clients. Janssen has extensive expertise in trading, regulated utilities, and deregulated wholesale and retail markets.
Before joining Capco, he was a manager at KPMG and a consultant at James Martin & Co.
Janssen has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Southern Methodist University.
“Chris and John have worked side by side with Lance over the last 15 years to build Capco’s Texas Financial Services and Global Energy practice into the successful business it is today,” Rowland added. “I know that John and Chris will continue to be instrumental in driving its future strategy and growth within the US market and globally.”
Capco was founded in 1998 and has over 6,500 consultants globally. The firm works with financial services and energy companies on strategy and transformation, risk and compliance, digital engineering, data and analytics, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
