ZCG Consulting adds three consultants to supply chain practice

ZCG Consulting (ZCGC), the management consulting arm of merchant bank Z Capital Group (ZCG), has hired Jon Poehnelt and Tianyang (Tyler) Xu as senior consultants and Kevin Craig as a consultant in its supply chain and logistics practice.

Poehnelt is based in Chicago. He previously spent five years at Steam Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, where he was chief commercial officer.

Before that, he spent a decade at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where he was director of business development for major accounts UPS forwarding.

Poehnelt has a bachelor’s degree in business management and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a licensed US customs broker.

Xu is based in New York. He previously spent seven years with AlixPartners, where he was latterly an SVP focusing on engagements in liquidity management, business plan development, and operational finance.

Before that, he spent over three years at PwC, where he was an associate in financial markets group working on analysis and modeling for portfolio company valuations.

Xu has a master’s degree in accounting and information analysis and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Lehigh University.

Craig is based in Boca Raton, FL. He previously spent five years with Twin-Star International, where he was director of logistics and led initiatives in streamlining distribution networks, enhancing automation, and improving end-to-end logistics.

Earlier in his career, Craig was a civil engineer at Kimley-Horn and England-Thims & Miller.

He has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida.

ZCGC provides value creation consulting to private equity firms and their mid-market portfolio companies. The practice’s offerings include performance improvement, finance transformation, and transaction advisory, as well as technology, human capital, and real estate solutions.
