Compass Lexecon appoints Mary Coleman as head of US antitrust practice

Compass Lexecon, the economic consulting subsidiary of FTI Consulting, has appointed Mary Coleman, PhD, as a head of the US antitrust practice. She is based in Boston.
In the newly created role, Coleman will oversee antitrust activities across all US offices.
Acquired by FTI in 2003, Compass Lexecon provides expert witness testimony, economic analyses, and other litigation-related services to law firms, corporations, and governments.
Coleman is an executive vice president who has been at Compass Lexecon since 2009. She has extensive experience in competitive analysis of mergers, acquisitions, and antitrust litigation.
Before joining Compass Lexecon, she spent 13 years at LECG, where she was a managing director. Between 2001 and 2004, Coleman was deputy director of antitrust in the bureau of economics at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In the role, she was involved in all antitrust investigations at the watchdog, including mergers, horizontal restraints, monopolization, and vertical issues.
Coleman has a PhD in economics from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stonehill College.
