FS Vector hires Jackson Mueller as principal in government relations

FS Vector (FSV), a Washington, DC-based fintech consulting firm, has hired Jackson Mueller as a principal in its government relations and public policy practice.
In his new role, Mueller will support FSV’s clients on public sector engagement. He has particular expertise in public policy discussions on blockchain and crypto regulation.
Mueller has more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of business, finance, and technology.
He previously spent four years with The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a financial market infrastructure company that provides clearing, settlement, and trade reporting services. Mueller served as associate director for DTCC Digital Assets and director of policy and government relations.
Before that, he spent six years at economic think tank the Milken Institute, where he was associate director of the fintech program.
Mueller was also previously AVP for federal government relations at The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Sifma).
He has a master’s degree in public policy from American University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Richmond.
“As the administration sharpens its focus on emerging technologies, Jackson’s experience will be an invaluable asset to the FS Vector team and our clients,” said John Beccia, CEO of FSV. “We look forward to adding him to our established team of leaders engaging with policymakers to drive innovation forward effectively and responsibly.”
Founded in 2018, FSV provides advisory and advocacy services to financial services and fintech clients across lending and payment, decentralized finance, digital banking, and personal finance, among other areas.
The firm has offerings in business strategy, regulatory, compliance, licensing, training, technology, government relations, and public policy matters.
FSV has more than 50 employees, according to its website.
“Emerging technologies are advancing at a rapid pace, and our regulatory frameworks must adapt to protect the interests of the broader public,” Mueller said. “The FS Vector team is engaging in incredibly meaningful work to help clients bring responsible and cutting-edge financial services products to market.”
