FTI Consulting adds Christopher Allen as senior managing director in financial services practice
FTI Consulting, a Washington, DC-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Christopher Allen as a senior managing director in its financial services practice within its forensic and litigation consulting segment.
Based in Charlotte, NC, Allen brings more than 30 years of industry and consulting experience in financial services, with expertise across payment strategy, customer experience, and operations modernization. In his new role at FTI, he will advise banks, fintechs, and payment intermediaries on modernizing products, core operations, processes, and underlying technology.
Allen joins from Deloitte Consulting, where he spent the last 14 years and was a managing director. Before that, he was a managing director at Capco and a director at Hitachi Consulting.
Prior to his time in consulting, Allen held VP roles in product management at MasterCard International, JPMorgan Chase, and US Bank, overseeing debit, small business payments, and consumer transaction products, respectively.
Allen has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut.
“We’re seeing a major transition in the payments space as financial institutions leverage new technologies to upgrade legacy systems in order to meet regulatory demands, increase resilience and improve operations,” said Stella Mendes, global leader of the financial services practice within the forensic and litigation consulting segment at FTI Consulting. “Chris knows first-hand the impact inefficient processes can have on an institution and how to apply the right technologies to find solutions to those challenges.”
FTI’s forensic and litigation consultants advise banks and financial institutions on consumer financial services, risk management, regulatory compliance, enforcement, and more.
“FTI Consulting boasts a vast network of experts with hands-on knowledge, and I look forward to joining my colleagues as we work to create value for our clients,” Allen said.
The consulting firm helps organizations manage change, mitigate risk, and resolve disputes. FTI has over 8,100 employees in 33 countries and territories.
