EY-Parthenon launches neurosymbolic AI capabilities
EY-Parthenon, the strategic consulting arm of Big Four accountancy EY, has launched EY Growth Platforms (EYGP), a neurosymbolic AI solution that combines machine learning with logical reasoning.
Neurosymbolic AI fuses the statistical power of neural networks with the structured logic of symbolic reasoning to output predictions that are practical and actionable. EYGP uses the technology to simulate real-time market scenarios and their potential impact, and then uncover effective business strategies.
The core of EYGP is a reasoning engine that ingests structured and unstructured data. It has been in development for three years and is already powering proprietary AI applications for EY-Parthenon clients across a number of sectors.
For financial services clients, neurosymbolic AI can enhance underwriting, claims processing, and compliance. For consumer products, the technology can power hyper-personalized experiences with precise insights tailored to individual behavior, preferences, and environments. In the industrial products sector, neurosymbolic AI can integrate structured domain knowledge with real-time operational data to optimize decisions for facility placement, supply routing, and workforce allocation.
“EY Growth Platforms gives our clients the predictive power and actionable foresight they need to confidently steer their revenue trajectory,” said Mitch Berlin, EY Americas vice chair, EY-Parthenon. "EY Growth Platforms is a game changer, poised to become the backbone of enterprise growth."
The solution launch follows the appointment of Jeff Schumacher as EYGP leader. He brings more than 25 years of experience in strategy, innovation, and digital disruption, and has helped establish 100+ early-growth companies.
Schumacher is founder of neurosymbolic AI firm Growth Protocol, with which EY has an exclusive licensing agreement.
"With EY Growth Platforms, we’re putting a dynamic, AI-powered operating system in the hands of leaders, giving them the ability to rewire how their companies make money. This isn’t incremental improvement; it’s a complete reset of the commercial model," Schumacher said.
EYGP is currently being offered in North America, Europe, and Australia.
